Valve unveiled the much-anticipated details of the TI12 Regional Qualifiers.
This year, the Regional Qualifiers will feature two additional slots, allowing for a total of 20 teams to compete in Dota 2’s premier event.
After the Bali Majors, which will see the top 12 teams in the Dota Pro Circuit (DPC) receiving direct invitations to The International, the remaining teams will have a chance to secure their spots through the Regional Qualifiers.

The qualifiers will take place throughout the month of August, with each region battling it out for the final slots.
The schedule for the TI12 Regional Qualifiers is as follows:
- North America and China: August 17th-21st – One slot each.
- South America and Eastern Europe: August 22nd-26th – Two slots for South America, one slot for Eastern Europe.
- Southeast Asia and Western Europe: August 27th-31st – Two slots for Western Europe, one slot for Southeast Asia.
These qualifiers will showcase intense competition as teams fight tooth and nail for the opportunity to join the prestigious roster of participants at The International 12.
The Regional Qualifiers offer a chance for teams who narrowly missed out on direct invites to prove their mettle and secure their place on the grand stage.
Notably, Valve has made a significant change this year by granting an additional qualification berth to both South America and Western Europe.
This decision expands the official roster for TI12 to 20 teams, matching the format of the previous year’s tournament.
