“Superman: Legacy” Pre-Production Officially Underway

James Gunn has announced via Twitter that early pre-production on “Superman: Legacy” is now officially underway along with an image of the script for the film.
“I’m honored to be a part of the legacy. And what better day than #SupermanAnniversary Day to dive fully into early pre-production on #SupermanLegacy,” Tweeted Gunn. “Costumes, production design, and more now up and running.”
“Superman: Legacy” will tell the story of Superman’s journey to reconcile his Kryptonian heritage with his human upbringing as Clark Kent of Smallville, Kansas. The character will be presented as the embodiment of truth, justice and the American way, guided by human kindness in a world that sees kindness as old-fashioned.
Gunn will direct the film from a screenplay which he penned alongside DC Studios’ Co-Chairmen & Co-CEO, Peter Safran producing. The all-new action adventure is set to soar into theaters worldwide on July 11th, 2025.
