Gotham City is getting some more residents as four more actors have joined the cast of The Penguin.
The Penguin is filling out its version of Gotham City as four more actors have been announced. Theo Rossi (Luke Cage, Army of the Dead), James Madio, and Scott Cohen have all been added in unannounced roles. Also joining the cast will be Michael Zegan in an unknown role, but sources speaking with Variety indicate he will be playing Alberto Falcone.
Alberto is the son of Carmine Falcone and is best known as The Holiday Killer in Batman: The Long Halloween.
Filming is underway, and The Penguin has been busy expanding its cast as of late. Rhenzy Felix (Runaways), Michael Kelly (Jack Ryan), Shohreh Aghdashloo (The Expanse), and Deirdre O’Connell (Outer Range) have all joined the series in unknown roles.
The series will see Colin Farrell reprising his role as Oswald Cobblepot, and Cristin Milioti has joined the cast as Sofia Falcone. Clancy Brown joined as Salvatore Maroni.
Craig Zobel (The Mare of Easttown) has signed on to direct the first two episodes of The Penguin. He will also be serving as an executive producer on the project.
The Penguin project has been discussed for some time and was ordered straight to series shortly after the premiere of The Batman in March 2021.
Matt Reeves’ 6th & Idaho Productions, Dylan Clark Productions, and Warner Bros. Television are all working on the series. Daniel Pipski from 6th & Idaho Production will also serve as an executive producer along with Rafi Crohn as a co-executive producer.
